This month, we are excited to introduce you to our dear friend Charlie Barber.

Charlie is without a doubt one of the most kind hearted people on planet earth. He loves surfing, bowling, and just getting to know people! During the pandemic, we have been hosting weekly virtual meetings on Tuesdays, and we can always count on Charlie to be there to talk story.

Let’s hear more from Charlie himself…

1. Tell us a little about yourself:

Aloha, my name is Charlie Barber. I was born in Virginia. My dad worked for United Airlines, so my family got to travel a lot. My dad got a transfer to Hawaii. My family and I moved to Hawaii approximately 30 years ago. Going bowling and getting into the water are my favorite things to do.

2. How and when did you hear about Accessurf.

I heard about AccesSurf through a couple of my friends. They had explained to me what AccesSurf was about. It sounds interesting to me so I joined approximately 5 years ago.

3. What does AccesSurf mean to you?

AccesSurf helps me get out and meet new people.

4. Favorite memory at AccesSurf (Im not sure if you have come to our programs before covid so if not no worries about this question)

Oh my I have a lot of favorite memories. But the one that stands out the most is how nice the AccesSurf and Bayada staff has helped me getting into the water and answering all of my questions.

5. Anything else you would like to say to our AccesSurf community?

I would like for the community to know that AccesSurf is fun. All of the AccesSurf employees have been always kind and always treated me with respect.
