Our Adaptive Surfing Clinic is a quarterly program where AccesSurf and our amazing group of volunteers, help a handful of AccesSurfers along on their surfing journey. This could range from helping them decide how they want to ride a wave (prone, kneeling, sitting, standing, etc.), giving them advice on equipment, or ways to paddle or turn more efficiently or effectively, and everything in between.
Since we limit this program to approximately 4-6 participants per clinic day, we are able to provide individualized and specialized coaching experiences for those participants.
Mission: To host an accessible event where adaptive surfers can further their education and skills in surfing.
Objective: Surf Clinic will provide adaptive equipment, expertise, and an accessible environment to encourage attainment of participant centered goals in surfing.
Snacks will be provided for participants, family members, and volunteers.
We ask that volunteers dress appropriately for a family friendly day at the beach.
Water, sun protection, towels, and water shoes (booties or reef walkers) are recommended.
