Volunteers of the Year – Candy and Peter!!!

Candy and Peter Luscomb are two of our most dedicated volunteers. They have been with AccesSurf for many years and play instrumental roles at programs and behind the scenes.

You may have seen Peter at DATB checking everyone in. He is the friendly face who knows everyone’s name and takes the extra time to make sure all are welcome. What everyone doesn’t see is all the work he does for AccesSurf; fixing and building things, helping us load and transport equipment for events, moving our office, helping us improve our check in, and always being an AccesSurf ambassador in the community sharing about our programs.

Candy is much more than our AccesSurf merchandise store that you all see at our fundraisers. She was also on our Board of Directors for 7 years and our Leadership Committee, providing us with years of guidance as our organization has grown. She is always one of the first to put her hand up to help with any event. She takes personal time to reach out to people when they are in need and always goes way above and beyond to help in any way she can.

We cannot truly put into words all that Candy and Peter do and what they mean to all of us. Candy and Peter are the heart of AccesSurf and we would not be the organization we are without them.
