If you have been to our lunch tent, or come to Day at the Beach only to see that wonderful JROTC students have already set up almost everything… well, you can thank Mr. Tim! He has been a part of our AccesSurf ohana for many years and has done so much for us both at Day at the Beach and behind the scenes. We sure will miss seeing our hard working JROTC volunteers once summer comes! You’ll also find his wife Mrs. Z manning the lunch tent, ensuring everything is tidy, organized and ship shape. All with a beautiful smile on her face of course!
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
Here is more from Mr. Tim:
Tell us a little about yourself:
Tim and Xiomara “Z”, Z is from Panama and I am from Jacksonville Florida. Retired military, both are teachers, 4 children and teachers have 4 children, we lived here for 30 years.
My daughter Brandee started a surf club at the Mililani HS and told me about it, and we been volunteering for 11 years.
Everything, it is taking care of our friends that want to share the ocean with us, and it is an invaluable experience for our cadets learning life skills such as teamwork, and being a great volunteer, the greatest offer someone can give is their time to assist others.
Our cadets building lifelong friendships with other cadets but really bonding with all of our awesome participants.
We love our time with you, and look forward to many more opportunities with our new extended family.
