Aaron Paulk

A three-time AASP World Champion in the Visually Impaired division, ISA Para Surfing World Champion, U.S. National Champion, and Hawaii State Champion, I have built my life around resilience, purpose, and performance in and out of the water. Surfing is not only my passion—it is the platform through which I challenge perceptions and inspire others to redefine what is possible.
My journey took a pivotal turn during my service in the United States Navy, where I was diagnosed with Stargardt’s disease, a progressive juvenile form of macular degeneration. While this diagnosis changed my vision, it sharpened my focus. I chose to pursue excellence rather than limitation, ultimately rising to the top of the global para surfing community.
Beyond competition, I am a dedicated entrepreneur within the cruise industry, where I focus on supporting small, local businesses and strengthening regional economies. My work is centered on developing sustainable partnerships and advocating for legislation that advances a circular Hawaiian economy—ensuring that tourism directly benefits the communities and cultures that make Hawaii unique.
Through my athletic achievements, military background, and business leadership, I aim to represent sponsors who value perseverance, sustainability, and meaningful impact. I am committed to using my platform to inspire, educate, and create lasting change both in the surf world and beyond.
