ACCESSURF’S DEDICATED VOLUNTEERS GENEROUSLY DONATE THEIR TIME TO MAKE OUR PROGRAMS A SUCCESS.
We have a range of areas that we need volunteers to help us keep our programs a success. Set up, surfing, assisted swim, water transfer, water safety, check in, equipment check out, food area, equipment maintenance and teardown.
We have volunteers in the fields of therapeutic recreation, rehabilitative medicine, and ocean safety available to work with participants and volunteers.
Our volunteer base consists of variety of people from our community, come check us out!
We ask that all new volunteers attend our orientation prior to working with participants. Our goal is to maintain the highest level of quality and safety in our programs.
Please be prepared to be at the beach for the morning with proper sun protection, hydration and snacks. We recommend anyone interested in assisting in the surfing area to wear long pants to help prevent friction from our foam boards.
Day at the Beach schedule:
Set up at 7:15am. New volunteer orientation at 8:00am,Welcome meeting at 8:30am. Programs runs from 9:00am to 1:00pm. Tear down at 1:00pm.
Wounded Warrior Beach Day schedule:
Set up at 0845, new volunteer orientation at 0930, welcome meeting at 1000. program runs from 1000 to 1300. Tear down at 1300
