Tell us a little about yourself.

My name is Devin Minardi. I grew up in Tampa, Florida and moved to Hawaiʻi in 2008. I enjoy spending time outdoors with my family and being active in the community.

How and when did you hear about or start with Accessurf

I first learned about AccesSurf around 2015 after participating in a bike ride with the Challenged Athletes Foundation. I was inspired by their mission and started looking for a local organization that shared similar values around access, inclusion, and sport.

What does AccesSurf mean to you?

AccesSurf represents an ocean of possibilities. It is about removing barriers, creating access, and reminding people that the ocean and outdoor experiences belong to everyone.

What is your favorite AccesSurf memory?

Every AccesSurf event is meaningful, but my favorite moments are seeing participants experience the ocean in a way that may not have felt possible before. The smiles, confidence, and sense of community at each event never get old.

Anything you want to share with our AccesSurf ’ohana?

Mahalo to the entire AccesSurf ʻOhana for welcoming me and for the work you do every day. Being part of this community has been incredibly meaningful, and it is inspiring to see how much joy, confidence, and connection AccesSurf creates for so many people.
