SUMMARY:Special Wounded Warrior Day at the Beach
DESCRIPTION:This month we are hosting a VERY special Wounded Warrior Day at the Beach in conjunction with the Wounded Warrior Project and the Na Koa Regatta. This event is already full for participants\, but we do need lots of volunteer support. This event will be at Fort Derussy / Hale Koa in Waikiki. \nIt is extremely important that you confirm attendance\, as a volunteer or participant\, by emailing ryan@accessurf.org – mahalo! \nFor Participants \nThis event is already booked to capacity\, please be sure to come out next moth! \nFor Volunteers \nNew volunteers can fill out their waiver form below. You only need to fill out this form once. Volunteers are encouraged to show up beach ready (board shorts / swimsuit – AccesSurf provides rash guards). If you are a first time volunteer\, we will hold an orientation circle at 0930. \n– Setup begins at 0945 \n– Welcome circle / orientation is at 1100 \n– Program is from 1100-1400 \n– Tear down is at 1400 \nWe always need a lot of help at set up and tear down\, and encourage volunteers to be able to stay for one or both. \nFor Special Groups \nWe love special groups\, so then to ensure a meaningful experience for both our participants and volunteers we do schedule special groups in advance. \nIf you are planning on attending with a large group of 5 or more\, we kindly ask you to email info@accessurf.org so that we may properly accommodate you.  \nAlso\, we ask that the group’s point of contact please ensure their group member’s have filled out their volunteer forms online prior to attending. \n
