DESCRIPTION:***Please note this event will be at Kualoa Regional Park!!!*** \nJoin us at ‘Day at the Beach\,’ our free monthly program for our kama’aina and visitors to the islands.  \nFor Participants \nNew participants simply need to fill out their waiver form at the bottom of this page. You only need to fill out this form once. There is no pre-registration for surf times prior to the beach day as we assign surf times at the beach. We recommend coming early as we often book up for surf times. After 11:30 surf times are no longer assigned. \nFor Volunteers \nNew volunteers can fill out their waiver form at the bottom of this page. You only need to fill out this form once. Volunteers are encouraged to show up beach ready (board shorts / swimsuit – AccesSurf provides rash guards\, water\, sunscreen). The event includes a meet and greet including photos and autograph signing\, open to the public. \nSurfing with the Stars Roster – Watch these celebrities take on the waves for a good cause! \n\nMakua Rothman – Hawaii professional surfer\nBob Hurley – Surfer\, shaper and founder of Hurley\nKirk Hammett – Guitarist of Metallica\nBenji Weatherley – Surfer and film maker\nJoel Centeio – Hurley team rider and professional surfer\nGuy Hagi – Hawaii News Now meteorologist\nKala Alexander – actor\, surfer and philanthropist\nHilton Alves  – mural artist\n\nTuesday\, Aug. 21 at 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. \n10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Meet and Greet with the Stars\, open to the public\n11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Surfing with the Stars event in the ocean \n  \nThis event is part AccesSurf’s 11th Hawaii Adaptive Surfing Championship\, an annual international adaptive surfing competition during Duke’s OceanFest\, Waikiki’s premier ocean sports festival honoring surf legend Duke Kahanamoku. This year will mark the biggest athlete attendance to date with 80 surfers with disabilities from 15 nations. Competing again this year’s Hawai’i Adaptive Surf Championships includes 2017 HASC Champion Felipe Lima (Brazil) and Hawai’i’s own Rich Julian\, a pioneer of adaptive surfing and Ann Yoshida 2017 ISA world-champion women’s prone division and Outrigger Duke Kahanamoku Foundation 2018 Waterman Hall-of-Fame inductee. New this year\, the event will be live-streamed on AccesSurf.org\, DukesOceanfest.com\, Surfline.com\, SurfNewsNetwork.com\, Explore.org and channel 20 on Spectrum TV by Salt +Air Studios. \n  \nA special mahalo to our event supporters: Summit Media\, HIC Surf\, Hula Grill\, Hurley\, Aroma Caffe\, Duke’s OceanFest and Hawaii Tourism Authority.
