SUMMARY:Day at the Beach
DESCRIPTION:Join us for our free monthly program for our kamaaina\, and visitors to the islands.  Our trained volunteers provide adaptive surfing\, shoreline flotation and swimming for any person with a disability on the first Saturday of each month at White Plains Beach Park from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. \nParticipants simply need to come to the beach to sign up.  We suggest arriving no later than 11:30 a.m. to ensure your surf time. \nSet up starts at 7:15 am for any available volunteers.We always appreciate more help for set up! DESCRIPTION:Register early for our Adaptive Swim Clinic on November 16th\,2014 at Manoa Pool \nContact Cara at cara@accessurf.org to register. Space is limited \n  \nBeginner session- 10:00am \nThe focus of this group will include becoming more comfortable in/under the water\, floating\, learning water safety\, and covering the basic range of adaptive stroke motions.  \nIntermediate and Advanced – 11:15pm \nIntermediate: This group will focus on basic drills to help enhance stroke and breathing techniques in order to swim short distances without stopping\, up to about 15 yards. \nAdvanced:    The focus of this group will be mainly on stroke and breathing techniques to increase efficiency through the water. Drills will also concentrate on speed and strength.
